ABOUT US
- The Department of Commerce had commenced its operations in 2001 by offering B.Com Computers and Regular with 2 sections (comprising of 60 students each) initially and it is now handling 7 sections which includes a professional course in B.Com (Tax Procedures).
- Commerce Club “QUIFESTA” was formed to bring together an excited group of students who would take initiatives to promote subject-related activities that will reinforce the theoretical aspects and provide a practical exposure. The numerous activities by this club have given the students a platform to exhibit their talent and knowledge in their subjects.
Best Practices of the Department of Commerce
- Certificate courses on Tally, Auditing and Digital Marketing were introduced to make students industry competent
- Internships offered give students an opportunity to explore their potential and acquire new skills
- Faculty exchange programme are organized on Intra and Inter-disciplinary concepts
- Bridge Courses help non-commerce students acquaint with fundamentals in the subject
- Remedial classes are conducted to identify slow learners and guide them in their areas of difficulty
- Parent-Teacher meetings are conducted on regular basis to identify the areas of concern and work around them

- Various activities like Classroom Presentations, Group discussion, Paper presentations, Guest lectures and Industrial Visits.
